How to solve any problem: a simple 3 step method.

A simple and powerful 3 step method for problem-solving

We all have problems, some of us have too many, causing us stress and anxiety at unhealthy levels.

Some people may not be able to even think when swamped by too many adverse situations.

Don't get overwhelmed. Learn how to find the best solutions for your problems by sticking to this simple 3-step method.

Step 1: List and arrange.

Write down on a piece of paper all your problems.

Sort problems by priority.

Number 1 is the most urgent and important one. The one you need to solve immediately to avoid immediate adverse outcomes.

If you cannot sort your problems when writing them, write them in no particular order. Then look at your list and lock your target in a big red circle.

Focus on situations you can, and need to solve first. Don’t waste energy focusing on situations that you can't solve right away.

Situations too distant in the future ... don't focus on those yet.

Your energy and focus are finite, assing them with the best judge.

Step 2: Choose your target and list possible solutions

Attack each problem one-by-one.

Concentrate your energy on this: thinking of possible solutions for one single situation.

Brainstorm alone or with a team, and for God's sake: write everything down!

Step 3: find the best solution and apply it!

The best is one that consumes fewer resources (time, effort, funds, people, etc.) and still gets the job done.

It may sound like a lazy person’s way of thinking, it is not! This is the mindset of efficiency.

Think of being efficient with yourself too, with the amount of stress you put onto yourself and your team.

Remember: the main goal is to avoid stress, anxiety, and become more efficient.

-Don’t panic, act! –

Don't get staggered by analysis paralysis. Once you have determined your ideal solution, go for it!

Bonus tip:

Sometimes, you won’t be able to get everything done.

You’re human, eventually, you’re going to fail.

Always be aware of this. Embrace this possibility as something natural, and don’t let it ruin your cool by having a contingency plan.

Think: “what would be the worst that could happen if I don’t achieve this goal” and act accordingly by preparing a countermeasure.

This should not be a free pass to become sloppy, or prone to failure. Having this thought in mind should allow you to cope with extreme amounts of pressure or demands ... Don't be too harsh on yourself.

Conclusion

The key to solving any problem is deconstructing. Break problems into smaller pieces, easier to analyze, and approach.

Visualization is the other great tool, that's why I insist so much on writing stuff down; so you can see your problems better.

Now, take small actions to resolve small situations. Take them down one by one, and repeat! There you go, another problem solved.

No problem is too big for a winner like you! because you know how to make them smaller and approach them in the most efficient way.

Now, go ahead and practice this method. You’ll find yourself now eager to think about big problems and how to make them smaller and more manageable.
Thinking of the best solutions for each of them, and making your path to success!
